What things cost, and why
No hidden margins layered on top of supplier rates. You see the per-unit price the supplier publishes, the delivery charge calculated from distance, and the tax — all before you confirm.
For buyers — free to use
There is no subscription, no listing access fee and no charge for placing an order. Your total is the material rate multiplied by quantity, plus the delivery charge, plus applicable GST. That figure is shown on the booking screen before you commit.

Delivery charges
Delivery is priced on distance, vehicle type and load, because that is what it actually costs to move. A tipper of sand across town and a pallet of tiles two streets away are not the same trip. The charge is calculated for your delivery address and displayed before you confirm — you are never billed a freight surprise afterwards.
Three practical notes: consolidating materials into fewer, fuller trips lowers the per-unit freight; sites reachable by a larger vehicle cost less per tonne than sites that force tractor-trolley shuttles; and deliveries within a supplier's core service area are cheaper than long-radius runs.
Full detail on how freight is computed is in understanding delivery charges and in our shipping & delivery policy.
For suppliers — commission on completed orders
Listing on Nautook is free. We earn a commission on the value of orders that are actually delivered through the platform — so we only make money when you do. There is no monthly fee, no charge per listing and nothing payable on orders you decline or that are cancelled.
Commission varies by material category, reflecting how different the margins are between, say, bulk sand and finishing materials. The applicable rate is confirmed in writing during onboarding and shown against every settlement. Payouts are released to your registered bank account or UPI ID after delivery confirmation.
See the supplier portal or read the supplier agreement.
Payment methods
- UPI — all major apps
- Debit and credit cards
- Net banking
- Cash on delivery, where the supplier offers it
- Bank transfer for bulk and project orders
Every payment produces a digital record tied to the order and the GST invoice. Refunds, where applicable, follow the cancellation & refund policy and return to the original payment method.
Bulk and project pricing
Committed monthly volume is worth a better rate, and we negotiate it with suppliers on your behalf rather than pretending list price is the only price. Contractor and builder accounts cover how that works.
Pricing FAQs
Does Nautook charge buyers to use the platform?
No. Browsing, comparing rates, placing orders and tracking deliveries are free for buyers. You pay the material rate and the delivery charge shown before you confirm the order.
Why do rates differ between suppliers for the same material?
Source, grade, brand, stock position and distance from your site all move the number. On heavy materials like sand and aggregate, freight can be a third of landed cost, so a nearer supplier at a higher per-unit rate is often cheaper overall.
Is GST included in the listed rate?
Listed rates are quoted by the supplier and the applicable GST is shown at checkout. Every order generates a GST invoice from the supplying business.
Can I cancel after ordering?
Yes, while the order is still pending supplier acceptance. Once a supplier has accepted and dispatched, cancellation terms follow our refund policy.
